Stage 4 COVID Restrictions

Help us stop the spread and keep our staff, our families and your families safe.

According to government restrictions applying to statewide Victoria, Kiddies Eye Care Yarraville will remain open for urgent care only.

As usual, we are operating by appointment only, so if you have urgent needs please contact us by phone or email and we will be able to assist you and organise a suitable time for you to visit our clinic if required.

We ask that if your appointment is not urgent, that you please be patient with our staff and we will arrange to fit you in once lockdown measures have been lifted. With reduced staff capacity, we kindly ask that if you have any non-urgent needs, that you email us so that we can get back to your and others’ enquiries as soon as possible. If we miss your call, please email us.

If you are booked to come into our clinic for urgent care we ask that you do the following:

  • Please limit the number of persons attending the clinic, if possible. We request that only the child/children requiring the care are present (with no siblings) and only one parent attends the appointment. We ask that all other support persons, carers or drivers wait in the car.

  • You will be provided with hand sanitiser to sanitise your hands at the door and one of our staff members will take all persons’ temperature. Even if you have done this in the car or at home, we ask that you comply with this standard practice.

  • All patients over the age of twelve are required to wear a face mask in our clinic at all times, even during eye tests.

  • Please minimise the number of surfaces that you make contact with - benches, mirrors and frames. Please ask a staff member for assistance when selecting products.

  • Importantly, please DO NOT attend our clinic if you, your child or other family members have or develop any flu-like symptoms. This includes headaches, fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle aches etc. Please contact us if you have an appointment and we will assist in rescheduling you to a better time.

  • If you do attend our clinic and soon find out that you have been diagnosed with or a close contact of someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please let us know immediately so that we are able to take appropriate measures.

We are able to provide contactless call-and-collect of you or your child’s glasses or contact lenses. We can also have these sent directly to your house. Unfortunately, we are unable to do onsite adjustments at this time.

Kiddies Eye Care Geelong will be operating under eased regional restrictions, including review appointments, essential care and in-person spectacle collection. We remain vigilant in our infection control protocols and implore our patients and their families to assist us with all of the same above rules.

Please note: only patients who live in a region not in Melbourne-level lockdown will be permitted to enter our Geelong clinic. This is important in protecting our Geelong patients and the wider community.

Again, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your patience, understanding and kindness towards our staff as we work to follow government directions and provide safe care to those in need at this time. We look forward to seeing your beautiful family’s smiles again in our shop very soon.
